This Week Again!

Hello again!

Today is Mrs. Debry's last day. We will miss you! (Will post the winners of the poetry contest soon)

Don't forget to bring black tights (With the exeption of Grace) for the play.
Our costumes are fantastic, with poofy pants and frilly dresses.

The play is on May 29, starting at 6, but we need to be there at 5 for makeup.
If anyone from our class who left would like to come to our production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, feel free!

Auction is today, and hopefully we'll get paid!

We are also presenting our projects for the Solar System, like plays, songs, and reading presentations.

Eco-Projects are doing great!

CRT practice is going on, because they're starting next week. Good luck! We will be converting to a block schedule of 1.5 hour blocks of class.

Make sure you have lines memorized before dress rehearsals which start week after next.

In Social Studies, we are working on ancient Egypt. Mummies and sarcophigi due tuesday!

Auction now!

Keep you updated!

This Week @ SLCSE

This week is a very busy week! Between eco-projects, Twelfth Night practice, and getting ready for CRT's, our class is a hectic flurry of work. Solar System projects were due monday. No independent book project this month, but you still have to read however many were assigned. Spelling test on Friday, along with auction. Make it good, because Mrs. Dahl  has homework passes! Science practice is Science baseball, where it's like baseball with science questions. Friday is presentations for Solar System projects, Shakespeare, and Mrs. Debry's last day.

Lunch now! Keep yourself updated!

Moving!!!

I'm very happy to announce that we're moving!!!
Remember where the old art classroom was? After Mr. Splain moved? Yeah, we're moving in right next to there. It's a really great, brand new, clean classroom. Please keep it as perfect as possible, so don't put crayons and gluesticks in the heater. The floor is shiny, the closet is beautifully windowed. Theo is not so jazzed about moving, as he's finally settled in here. Good  grief! He doesn't want to move, so please get him accustomed to this change. We're probably officially moving in tomorrow, but transferring our stuff today and tomorrow. Buckets are moving, books are transferring, and people are walking past the class room with chairs on their heads. What a commotion! Well, I'll keep you updated. Check this blog! Comment in the comments! We'll still be working semi-normally, but it'll be hard to keep the regular calmish atmosphere with all the people goofing off in then hallways. Please, keep relative calm in the room, as it's stressfull enough on a daya to day basis.

Keeping you  updated!

He is such a showoff! today he was sitting under his igloo hut and walking around under it like a turtle.

This Week

Hello!
Theo is doing great! remember to sign up to bring him greens' because so far only Grace, Aaron and Eric has signed up. We have 2 new members in our class. Christian is new, and Kayla was here at the start of the year and left but now she's back. ( sorry if I mispelled your names!) Auction is Friday, and last time was great. Make this one as good as it's predecessor! We started new literature circles, mideval fantasy!Book of a  Thousand Days, Ranger's Apprentice, Goose Girl, Princess Academy, and Crispin. Just want to give a shout-out to ur SLCSE drop-outs. We miss you, Mitzy, Kelsey, and Austen. Book projects were turned in yesterday, but some of them weren't quite finished. We haven't had very many science projects lately, as we've been focusing on our moon projects. One idea for the book project C layer is to keep a log of your ponderings and predictions each day of reading, so you might want to bring a notebook to keep in your cubby for that. That would even work for another C layer thing, which is summaries for each reading day. Remember to record your vocabulary words! Make sure to keep your cubby tidy, as if it's a mess Cole will have you pay 50 SLCSE bucks to him. Victoria is selling baby gerbils for ten-fifteen dollars. SLCSE cafe is today! have fun! A person from the newspaper cafe will be coming through to all groups and taking pictures and doing interviews. Come into our classroom and request a comic or games for the comic section. Will post about the SLCSE zine and link to it in a later post.

New blog

Science fair was a few fridays ago. District was last week, congrats to those who got there! Regionals is coming up, congrats to those of you too!

The bunneh has been named! Mr. Hoppy Nose was a close runner up, but please welcome Theo! Full name is Theocolese. We think hes a boy! Please bring veggies for him. Carrots and lettuce are preferred.

Book projects are due on Monday. Enjoy your long weekend and parent teacher conferences! Star party is later tonight, U of U sponsors.

Moon projects due march 6th.

Go to mrs dahl's room for social studies conference. Mrs. Shaw wont be there, but you can do it on your own. Mrs. Shaw will be going from Powell and Dahl rooms back and forth.

Please leve feedback on the blog, and post what you like most about Theo! There is a service learning pet drive, where you bring in money or pet supplies. Whicever class brings in the most money and supplies gets a donut or pop float party. ( vote in the comments) Pet supply ideas: blankets, leashes, collars, food, toys, pet brush, band-aids, etc... Auction last friday was great, money was made, money was lost... IOUs for pinpulls are back down to 100 slcse, after the science fair chaos of 1000 each. IOUs on the board are flying off the roof, so save up your slcse bucks and pay them off.  Also, keep the cupboards tidy, specifically the paper one. Victoria cleaned that cupboard so nicely, and every day it's a mess again. Please keep it tidy! Don't go into the big closet, it's out of bounds or else it's 10000!

The bell just rang, and I've gotta go home, so I'll blog again later!

R.I.P

I haven't been able to blog for a while. Problems signing in.

Oreo passed away calmy and peacefully over winter break. She had a proper burial at Cole's house, and we all miss her very much.( In the comments section, please put what you liked most about Oreo.)

On a happier note, we have 2 new classmates. One of which is a furry, four legged show- off! Please welcome to our class, with warm applause, our new little baby bunny friend!  Also over winter break, something miraculous happened with two supposedly male bunnies in the atrium. Our bunny has six siblings, and some are still available for sale. He's going to need special care over the next little whie, so everyone needs to contribute. Feel free to bring in any fresh vegetable scraps.

Our other new classmate is a human. Please welcome Margarita, and help her catch up.

We have to go to social studies, and I'll blog again soon with updates!
